Emergence + Exploration
March 13 – May 8, 2025
This spring, Kiewit Luminarium invites you to embrace the season of growth and renewal. In a series of interactive programs and experiences, we’ll ask: In nature, how do communities and individuals develop and thrive?
Grow turns a curious eye to the ever-evolving natural systems of our world – intricate ecosystems of change and decomposition from which our own lives and societies emerge.
Inquisitive minds of all ages will have the opportunity to examine growth at scales large and small. Some growth is more obvious than others. Some changes require a closer look to fully appreciate the microscopic communities that are growing all around us.

New Curiosity Stations cover topics ranging from new technologies to the impact of trees on urban ecosystems.
Inquisitive Programs for All Ages
What is the process that transforms a seed into a hundred-year-old oak? Can natural polymers made of algae one day replace plastics? How are individuals and organizations in our community making a positive impact on local biodiversity? Explore all of this and more at the events listed below!
