Financial Assistance for Field Trip Groups
Thanks to generous support from community donors, financial assistance is available for qualifying public and private school groups (Grades 2-12) visiting the Luminarium during dates and times listed on our Field Trip Availability Calendar.
To apply, simply include the relevant information when submitting your field trip request by clicking on the “Schedule a Field Trip” button on our Field Trip webpage.

Financial Assistance Criteria + Availability
Please note that submission of a request does not guarantee funding. Eligibility and available support will be confirmed by our team within seven business days of receiving your completed form.
This information will be updated as new grants are received or as existing funds are expended.

| School-wide Title I schools or schools with greater than 40% of students qualifying for free/reduced lunch | $5 admission per student (50% discount) | Field trip must be completed by February 27, 2026 |
| Public or private schools located in Lancaster County, Nebraska | Transportation reimbursement up to $400 per bus (limit of 2 buses per school) | Field trip must be completed by December 18, 2025. Kiewit Luminarium must receive the bus invoice by December 19, 2025 |
| Public or private schools in the following Southwest Iowa counties: Monona, Crawford, Carroll, Harrison, Shelby, Audubon, Pottawattamie, Cass, Mills, Montgomery, Adams, Fremont, Page, Taylor | $5 admission per student (50% discount) | Limited to one grade level per district. Field trip must be completed by February 27, 2026 |
