Special Opportunity for the Blind and Visually Impaired

Kiewit Luminarium, in partnership with the Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, invites you and your guests to “Experience the Cosmos: The James Webb Space Telescope,” a multi-sensory exhibition by Tactile Images. This 10-piece exhibition highlights images captured by the James Webb Space Telescope and offers 2D and 3D renderings of the images to experience and touch with descriptive audio for each piece. The event includes free admission to the Luminarium, a brief welcome, access to the Luminarium’s 100+ exhibits, and a casual reception.
Guides will be available throughout the afternoon to escort groups to the Experience the Cosmos exhibition and be present throughout the facility to answer questions.

Location Description
The main entrance is located on the southwest side of the building (the facility is a long rectangular building parallel to the Missouri River) and has two consecutive entrance doors. Upon entering through the front entrance, please meet in the large meeting room to the left. Volunteers will be there to welcome and guide you.
Agenda
- 2PM to 2:30PM (optional): Welcome remarks and introduction in large meeting room near main entrance
- 2:30 PM to 5PM: Opportunity to visit “Experience the Cosmos: The James Webb Space Telescope” and explore the rest of the Luminarium museum. Guides will be available to escort groups to the exhibition and will be present throughout the facility to provide assistance and answer questions.
- After 3pm: Light refreshments available in large meeting room near main entrance for a casual reception
