Milkweed Matters returns to the Luminarium for seedball making! Help create milkweed seedballs while learning about the importance of milkweed as a host plant for monarch butterflies. Milkweed Matters will take the seedballs created at the Luminarium and toss them into roadsides across the country during bike rides this summer to increase the habitat of Monarch butterflies and other pollinators.
As part of our Grow season, Curiosity Stations like this one are rotating pop-up learning experiences that explore different elements of growth and community.
About Milkweed Matters
Milkweed Matters’ mission is to increase the breeding and feeding habitat of pollinators (like Monarch butterflies) in roadsides across the country. They do this by holding seedball-making events with a variety of audiences, and then tossing those seedballs into roadsides during large-scale bike rides.
