Since the beginning of humans’ time on earth, we have likely watched birds and been fascinated by the idea of flying. In ‘Feathers & Flight’ our partners at Nebraska Wildlife Rehab will invite guests to explore the science of flight by analyzing how birds take to the skies. Participants will observe key adaptations such as wing shape, feather structure, and lightweight bones that enable efficient flight.
Using these natural designs as inspiration, guests will then build and test their own flying models, experimenting with form and function to achieve optimal flight. This hands-on experience demonstrates how nature’s solutions can inform and improve human-made flying technologies.
Nebraska Wildlife Rehab is a non-profit organization that aims to create a community in which wildlife and natural habitats are valued and protected.
