The Audubon Society’s Jason “The Birdnerd” St. Sauver is back with an interactive presentation on the birds of Omaha and how to identify them. Start with a short 30 minute bird presentation, exploring exhibits to learn more about bird sounds and dances. Then guests of all ages can become community scientists by getting outside (weather permitting) and count the birds we see around the Luminarium or from the windows inside as part of the Great Backyard Bird Count 2025.
Jason “The Birdnerd” St. Sauver is the Senior Education Manager for Audubon Great Plains out of Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center near Lincoln, NE and has worked for Audubon for twelve years. Before that he worked for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service for many years in both the biological and environmental education field. He is recognized as an expert birder, especially in the field of birding by ear. Jason is also the creator of Audubon’s “Let’s Go Birding Together” program and is passionate about bringing the love of birding to everyone.
