In this interactive workshop, you will explore the fascinating science of bioluminescence—the natural ability of organisms to produce light! Participants will create their own glowing reactions using safe household materials, discover real-life bioluminescent organisms, and unleash their creativity by designing unique glowing deep-sea creatures.
This workshop is part of the BioDiscovery Lab series from Kiewit Luminarium and Metropolitan Community College. These hands-on workshops explore the exciting world of biotechnology. Biotechnology uses living organisms to create products that benefit health, agriculture, and the environment. Blending biology, design, and technology, this activity sparks curiosity and creativity in STEM.
