Curiosity Stations
- Magnetic Arch: Make comparisons between the magnetic force and distance between two objects
- Magic and Illusions: Use your observation skills to experience how your perception aligns or misaligns with what is happening around you
Facilitated Exhibits
- Stream Play: Engineer a river to limit flooding
- Groundwater: Visualize and apply Nebraska-related aspects of the Ogallala Aquifer
- Heat Camera: Investigate heat signatures of different materials
Instructional Demonstration
A 20 minute instructional demo. Start times at 11:35, 12:35, and 1:35
- Solid, Liquid and Gas: Join a Luminator in observing properties of a substance as it changes states in different situations
Maker Space
Straw Contraptions: Using drinking straws and connector pieces collaborate, experiment, and engineer together. Select a challenge card to test engineering principles, such as assembling a moving mechanical arm and claw, or design and construct a device of your own choosing.
